Every summer, for more than 30 years, the “Les Heures Musicales de l’Abbaye de Lessay” festival offers a ten high-quality classical concerts with internationally renowned artists. The opportunity to discover all the repertoires offered by classical music: chamber music, instrumental and vocal training, organ concert... greatest performers of classical music like William Christie, Laurence Equilbey, Philippe Jaroussky, Raphaël Pichon, Simon-Pierre Bestion, Sabine Devieilhe and Marie-Andrèe Bouchard-Lesieur came to perform in this unique and magnificent place with extraordinary acoustics that is theLessay Abbey.

The ticket office for the “Les Heures Musicales de l’Abbaye de Lessay” festival opens April 9. You can reserve your places directly on the festival website www.heuremusicalesdelessay.com or go to our office in Lessay (11 place Saint-Cloud) opening hours . Payment by card, cash or check.

Where to eat before a concert?
You want to eat in Lessay before the festival. This one offers you a “ gourmet space” installed in the abbey courtyard with a view of the magnificent garden. These private parts are usually closed to the public and accessible only during guided tours (link). In this space you will find gourmet sandwiches (salmon, country ham, etc.), gourmet desserts and drinks (cider, wine, apple juice, etc.) You can also eat in one of the restaurants in Lessay.

The Lessay Musical Prim’Heures

A highlight in the spirit of a preview of the summer festival edition, this 3rd edition is open to all and free.

On the program, discoveries thanks to workshops led by musicians (harp, piano), strolling in the gardens, the cloister and the abbey church, guided tours and a concert at the end of the day. A great way for everyone to make music and the abbey church their own.

The focus will be on the organ of the abbey which is celebrating its thirty years this year: history, workshops, mini-concerts, meeting with the owner of the Lessay organ...

And to close this new edition, a free concert will be offered at 18 p.m., in the abbey church: Rouen Chamber Orchestra with the first part of the budding choristers in the afternoon.
