Nestled in a green setting in the heart of the Manche center, the La Maison de la Brick museum invites you to go back in time. This former brickworks from the 19th and 20th centuries allows visitors to discover or rediscover this now forgotten artisanal know-how. This unique museum traces the history of the brickmaker's profession, brick and its use in Lower Normandy.
During your visit, you will be able to discover, in addition to the permanent and temporary exhibitions, the different stages essential to the manufacture of a brick: the extraction quarry, the rotting pits, the machines and tools used in the manufacture, the dryers and the huge oven!
Guided tour every Sunday at 15 p.m. and family workshops every Wednesday and Saturday at 15 p.m. during school holidays.
