This old guardhouse once made it possible to monitor maritime traffic between the coast and the Channel Islands. Now transformed into a chapel, it is an unmissable place for hikers and families who stop there to admire the view of the harbor of Saint-Germain-sur-Ay, one of the largest on the coast of havens.
It is the ideal place to observe the high tides. At low tide, the harbor extends as far as the eye can see between salt meadows and sandbanks. At high tide, the guardhouse is surrounded by the sea.
