Built in the 12th century on an artificial islet surrounded by three moats and five fortified gates. The defensive doors open onto an exceptional ensemble: the bakery, the press, the chapel, the Plaids room (with the Pirou Embroidery recounting the epic of the Normans in Southern Italy and Sicily), the old house (room guards, dining room, kitchens) and the walkway with the beautiful schist roofs.
Listed in the supplementary inventory of MH since 1968.
