The eight estuaries of the west coast of Cotentin are havens of peace for migratory birds who stop there for a few days or a few weeks each winter.

A hat on your head, sunglasses on your nose and binoculars around your neck are the three essentials for observing migratory birds at the harbor of Geffosses. THE parcours about 2km (4km round trip) is punctuated by four observation cabins. When entering the cabin, silence is king. The wooden shutter which opens onto the harbor is lowered very slowly and the observation can begin. It is not uncommon to meet ornithology enthusiasts. You can't miss them with their XXL telescope. They are always willing to show you a lapwing, explain a way of life sparrow or simply share anecdotes from their long hours of observation.

It is true that observing birds in the harbor means admiring, contemplating and above all taking the time.
