The event will take place in the town of Bretteville-sur-Ay and in different locations: village hall, media library, council room and on the town hall square with exhibition of photos, paintings, historical books, objects etc. . A parade made up of jeeps, the Port-Bail brass band, residents and visitors in period clothing will make a short route towards the war memorial and around the church. A concert with songs from the period will be held with the choir of Geffosses and Bretteville-sur-Ay on the town hall square. At lunchtime, a country meal with a rotisserie and refreshment bar to the sound of the accordion will take place in the field near the town hall.
The “rando Brettevillaises” association will organize a hike on the town’s memorial sites on Thursday July 11.
These events will be intergenerational.
