At the “mare au pois”, respect for animals and nature are essential. The animals are exclusively fed grass, hay and haylage. The method of agriculture is simple and virtuous. Here we are in organic farming. The suckler cow herd is made up of Limousin and crossbred cows. The calves follow their mothers into the pastures. They nurse whenever they want. Pasture grass is the specificity here. This farming method provides tender, tasty meat. The meat is prepared by Christian who is the breeder but also the butcher in the Mare au Pois laboratory. Christian takes care of all the preparation.
